• GIG / NEW SONG / GIGS / NEW SONGS

All three of you are desperate to know what’s going on in Physics-land, right? Right? No.

Tough, it’s our solemn duty to inform you for three reasons:

    A) To maximize our interaction with those who may actually do care but do so in a passive manner

    2) To make it look like we’re not just sitting around playing Xbox and drinking Irn Bru

    D) We have to write it down or we’ll actually just forget.

So, here’s what’s going on, we just released this new video for a song on our record called GO GO NUCLEO -> FOR SCIENCE directed by Joe & Lloyd Stas at Holomax:

We also just got back from Russia where we played two gigs and a radio session in which we busted out Goran Ivanisievic and There Is No Cure For The Common Cold So Don’t Expect A Cure For Cancer on an acoustic guitar after having no sleep for three days like a very tired Coldplay.

Here’s a video of us playing our song NBSP in Moscow:

The brand new news is that we’re playing TONIGHT in Glasgow in support of the very excellent Halfrican for their CASSETTE LAUNCH, with Deathcats and Creeping Ivies. We’ll be playing a fast set of fast songs including a new song called THE BEATLES (THIRD BEST BAND (APPROX)). It’s a fast new song that we play fast. Doors are at 8:00 PM and we’ll be on about 9:30 PM.

After this we’ll be boosting down the highway in May to visit some towns and they include these:

16th May LONDON - Brixton Windmill w/ Local Girls

17th May ABERDARE - Elliot’s Bar w/ Bankrupt Pug, The Stunt Doubles & Civil Foes

    18th May BRIGHTON - Fool’s Paradise & Bad Math’s Alternative Escape @ Pav Tav

19th May NEWCASTLE - Head Of Steam w/ So What Robot

Please come out of your pits and see us if you can because it’d mean a lot to us. We’ll probably split up after this tour.

    BYE!

  • Things, etceteros.

    Hi jazz cats.

We are doing two gig live show gigs with Desaparecidos this weekend, 9th February in Glasgow at The Arches and 10th February in Manchester at The Academy 2.

Both of these gigs are 14+, so if you’re not yet a fully grown legal adult, you should come down, it’s going to be a mega-hoot.

In other news, we have started writing a new record. It’s going to be amazing, it’ll sound pretty much exactly the same as everything else we’ve ever done because we prioritize eating over progression.

We should have a couple of new videos busting your way at some point, and we’d also like to release a new physical EP with some songs and some songs and some songs at some point with some songs.

But this is all just conjecture, and we’re just riffing right here. We haven’t told anybody else this.

    BYE!

Here’s a photo of our hot ass.

  • We Unleash Dildonics On You Sorry About That

Hi! It’s the season of goodwill and all that. So, we thought what better way is there to celebrate the world’s goodnesses than by releasing a song about how the male genitalia will be rendered redundant?

We’ve released a song from our award-dodging album Your Friend, The Atom on 7” vinyl (nudge nudge wink wink), available exclusively while stocks last from our very own shop: http://wearethephysics.bigcartel.com

It’s VERY limited and features hand-vandalized artwork. Make someone feel self-conscious this Christmas by purchasing this phallic title.

  • Your Friend, The Atom - UNLEASHED!

HI EVERYONE! In case you missed it earlier, today we released our brand new album YOUR FRIEND, THE ATOM. You can buy it from the usual suspects - iTunes, Amazon, Play (where they couldn’t write out   so we win all of the internets), and also directly from our record label This Is Fake DIY Records.

If you want your hands on a signed copy, we spoiled a few at Banquet Records the other day.

We’re dead pleased with the response we’ve had for the record, with one critic calling it “the second album from We Are The Physics”. But, we won’t use those buzz-phrases, you should listen to it and make your own mind up. Of course, if you  don’t think it’s good, you’re just wrong.

Please do this little little band a favour and spread the word - we don’t have any paid promo, we don’t have any advertising budget, everything we do is off our own backs, so we appreciate everything you ever say about us. Apart from that one guy.

    THANK YOU FOR LIKING/DISLIKING US!

So if you want your exclusive atomic t-shirt, go and pre-order now. Once these t-shirts are gone, they’re gone forever like the mind of Tom Cruise.
If you don’t want it, that’s fine, but you won’t be the best.

  • Oh, you. Your plans just changed for Saturday 22nd September because you’re now coming to this. It’s free. That means you don’t have to pay anything to get in. There may be a moral toll, but there’ll be no money changing hands.
We’re going to pummel your face with songs, and so will Bear Cavalry, Yearbook and Teej.
We are learning the Sister Sister theme tune for this. You can be Roger and, at the end of the night, you can go home.
